Well midlife crisis has hit me in an unusual way. Gym training and learning to play the Sax!
No! My intentions are not to get a band, it’s more about self satisfaction. Tenor Saxophone has always been my favourite instrument, I thought I was too old to learn, but thanks to my Daddy Gustavo A Arenas the best musician I know, the amazing musician and my teacher Lindsey Peacock and Steve Tingay (who’s always my support and cheerleader) I am now doing something I never thought possible. Makes me smile and warms my heart! I LOVE IT! It is almost that Magical time of the year again! For most people, mentioning the "C" word so early is a sin! However, what better way of being prepared? Most of us shop early for gift, and shop for decorations, So why not shop for a family Christmas Portrait, there, I said the word, CHRISTMAS!

This month I turn 40! I have achieved and lived so many good times and bad time up until now. But the last eleven years have been the best of my life, however, during lockdown, I have gained quite a considerable amount of weight, and even though I am one for positive body image no matter what, I have to admit I was feeling low. I decided I was going to do a photoshoot of myself and change the way i see myself. About 3 days ago I hated myself, I was crying and feeling sorry for myself and then my amazing Dream Team Karen Brennan, Mim Godden and Steve Tingay got me out of it. They said "You're beautiful and amazing" remember you always say it to everyone you photoshoot, why can't you believe it?
Well I couldn't, however I got my big girl pants on and let my team go to work in transforming this sorry feeling woman into feeling powerful and in love with who I am and how I look.
Yes, I could be thinner and prettier and younger, but this is who I am, a fierce, outgoing and talented woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister...
Please please, never hate yourself, because YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, no matter what other people think, you must believe it.
I am very lucky to have the unconditional love of a man that thinks I am beautiful no matter my size, or even my moods. He loves me for who I am. I have two amazing, beautiful and healthy children, that I am so proud of. I have accomplished and lived so much during 40 years, I have a lot going on. SO, here I am, telling you, the person who is behind the camera 99% of the time, I see you and I see your beauty, do NOT FORGET you are amazing!
